Bismuth Ammonite

This is of course, not a real ammonite or even a fossilized version (an Ammonite is a shelled cephalopod - mollusc type creature - that died out about 66 million years ago), but this is a shimmering replica that has been created by pouring melted Bismuth into an ammonite shaped mould, to create these fascinating ammonite shapes.

Bismuth itself is a silver/grey coloured natural metal element and it is the heating of this element and then cooling it quickly that causes it to crystallise into colourful rainbow crystals.

Bismuth is believed to help relieve feelings of emotional and spiritual isolation and also help relieve stress. It is said to have the power of wisdom and is associated with the Crown Chakra.
