Mexican Fire Agate Tumblestone

Mexican Fire Agate is a rare form of chalcedony, a mineral from the family of quartz crystals. Most Fire Agate is found in the Southwest United States and Mexico. It is a form of banded agate with a reddish or brown base and layers of iron oxide running through it giving the appearance of flecks of gold, yellow and red often said to resemble flickering flames. It is also known as Snakeskin Carnelian and Fire Carnelian. 

Its fiery colours have given it a meaning of "Awakening" and it is believed to inspire a zest for life and as a stone of protection it also strengthens  resolve and promotes positive energy.
