Pink Petrified Wood Tumblestone

Petrified Wood stones are from ancient prehistoric trees that over millions of have turned to stone (petrified). Although they are petrified wood often they are referred to as fossilized wood, and they come in many colours eg. brown, pink, red, black. These colour variations are caused by the trace minerals within the wood as it slowly petrifies.

Pink Petrified Wood tumblestones are pink due to large amounts of Hematite that was present as the tree slowly turned to stone. This would have created a reddish colour that faded over time to pink.

Petrified Wood is a grounding stone and it is believed to foster a feeling of well being and vitality within us as well as encouraging a feeling of being in the right place at the right time. It is also believed to balance the emotions and help ease emotional conflict.
